Poverty has a impact on peoples lives on Black Americans by not having the same rights, and also, they have inequality. It was hard for them to get wealth and jobs.  Economic justice is a component of social justice. A quote from his speech is: 100 years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty.” That means they have no money, and they are poor. Black people have low incomes. They can pay proportionally more in the states and local taxes to the rich.
