Why is Jackie Robinson a "Hero"? By Bernice Chong (Examples are from the movie "42" (2013)

In the film 42,  Jackie Robinson is a hero because he receives a notification. The second thing that Jackie Robinson did to become a hero was he succeeded in his goal. He succeeded in his task, by making goals for his baseball career. He also became a hero because he returns home as a winner to a celebration.

The first reason is that Jackie Robinson became a hero is that he receives vocations. Like for example in the film 42, he received a vocation to try out for the “Brooklyn Dodgers.” It is very important for Jackie because he was the first African American man to try to do this kind of baseball thing.

The second reason is that Jackie Robinson succeeded in his goal because he controlled his baseball team: “The Brooklyn Dodgers” to win. Another example from the film 42 is that Jackie Robinson broke down discrimination against white people and black people. This reason causes other African American players to join the MLB.

The third reason is that Jackie Robinson is that he returned home as a winner to a celebration. An example from the film 42 is Jackie was chosen to be part of the “Baseball Hall Of Fame.” Another example is his jersey number has the number “42” on it, and no one in baseball was NOT having this jersey number. The cause of this reason is that “Jackie Robinson” day was created because this is the day where Jackie remember in all of baseball, by the number “42” on his jersey. The last reason from the film 42 is the “Jackie Robinson Foundation”. The “Jackie Robinson Foundation” includes money to students from college/university.

In my opinion, Jackie Robinson is considered to be a hero because he succeeded to become a famous baseball player and he overcame many obstacles.

Artknits Richmond Hill Articles: Bluefish chapter 10: what is all about? (expecpt for the Velveeta on ... part)

Travis has a project about a skit to do in his social studies class. Travis does not like to work in groups just like Velveeta. Travis likes to work all by himself. said Ms. Gordon when she faced to Travis. He does not want to do the outline. Travis was being so lazy. This is why Travis does not like going to school because of his social studies project.  Travis was not an A+ student because he did not hand in his paragraph on literature, and he returns a blank piece of paper for the vocabulary quiz on Wednesday. Mcqueen wanted Travis to come to the office, and Mcqueen wanted Travis to do a book review on his "Fox" book. Mcqueen wanted to find a way for Travis to read better in class. He cannot read like his classmate does. Travis has a learning disorder. Travis gave up on his reading project because when Travis was so bad at reading. Travis does not keep trying at all. And, this is wrong.
