The History Of The Artknits Company

The Artknits Company is a company that has lots of exports like farming, knitting, music, and other types of exports. So, let’s learn about our 120 year history. So, how the Artknits Company was created is our great grandmother started her first export in 1890 when her mom learns to help, and sell olive oil. In 1902, the Artknits company introduced knitting classes, for a good export. In 1904, our export group called the “Artknits” was created by Fortanato’s (1897-1989) and Josephine (1899-1939), than in 1910, knitting was introduced in the Artknits group when Fortanato was 13 years old, to become the first group full of wonderful classes. In 1930, music and arts programs was introduced by Maria (1926-2014) and Peitro (1925-2013) by playing there first instrument called the “accordion,” and she paints her first picture, and they started creating more stuff. In 1977, The Artknits Company Of Canada / Artknits Société du Canada was created. In 2012, the Artknits have started making live shows to perform when it is founded back in 1904. In 2014, the group members had change because, of Maria’s death in June 6th. In 2015, the Artknits have introduced Vernice, and created “Bernice’s Corner.” In 2016, they have created a location in St. Rene Goupil/St Luke Catholic Elementary School (CES). In 2018, the Artknits were so happy to do all of our exports together, and living in a joyful community.

More and more in Toronto, they include those with both high and low levels of education.
