Black people have federal and state law programs.  According to UNICEF, around 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. Hunger, lack of sanitation and access to clean water and lack of resources for proper health care are the main reasons. Back in 2011, 165 million children were stunted due to less nutrition.  Mostly through household surveys, they found that 44 percent of the world lived in extreme poverty. 1990: The World Bank defined extreme poverty as people living on $1 or less a day. Around 1.85 billion people, or 36 percent of the world's population, lived in extreme poverty. To stop poverty, here are some solutions: Create jobs. ... Raise the minimum wage. ... P overty has a impact on peoples lives on Black Americans by not having the same rights, and also, they have inequality. It was hard for them to get wealth and jobs.    Economic justice is a component of social justice. A quote from his speech is: 100 years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty.” That means they have no money, and they are poor. Black people have low incomes. They can pay proportionally more in the states and local taxes to the rich. According to the Cambridge dictionary, poverty is the condition of being extremely poor. Poverty means to have no money to buy stuff, or go to work or school. People are slaves, and they don't access to technology and education. People It changed by how people saw their culture. It changes people lives by when they live in a lonely island of poverty, they are living in a developing. It changed by African Americans by a not nice condition and also, they have emancipation proclamation. Emancipation is the process of giving people social and political freedom and rights. Proclamation means a official announcement.

Robert Cannone: What images/ideas/expectations do you have of high school? Bernice Chong: My ideas of going to high school is happy, because, I would like to meet new friends, when I get there. I would be sometimes nervous because, a lot of subjects in high school were always hard for me, but I will try my best on it.
